Bye Bye Summer Break

Well, it may only be August 13, but summer break is drawing to an end for us.  School starts on Friday.  We go Wednesday to "Meet the Teacher".  And yes, I think we are (mostly) ready for it.  We had a hot, fun summer though!  Here are some pictures of some of our summertime fun.

 Fun at the pool

Silly girl, doesn't she know she is supposed to do that IN the water!

Bixby Dynamites, 3rd place in League

 My little laundry helper

 Carousel Ride

 Rocking away at Cracker Barrel

Love that smile

Wresling with Daddy after he got home from a long business trip

 Piggy back ride!

My summertime beauty!

We froze some "treasures" in a block of ice and then pounded them out!  Lots of fun!

 My sweet little blonde Mason

Visiting the aquarium with cousin Kameron

Checking out the stingrays - through the window only.  You could touch them but these chickens didn't want to :)

 Splash pad fun!

I think the water got him

 Shoot-out between brother and sister

 Love this one!

He prefers to avoid getting soaked, if possible

Watching the Summer Olympics.  Exciting for us because Daddy just visited Wales about a month earlier

Watching TV.  In a laundry basket.  In her nightgown. ?!?!?

Another picture of my laundry helper.  This was not staged.  He put panties on one arm and underwear on another, just like they were a bracelet.  SILLY!

Crazy hair after sweating like crazy thanks to the 112 degree heat

 Pretend talking on the phone

 Playing in the kitchen cabinets

 Playing outside

The lego that was recovered from Micah's NOSE

 Silly faces

 Trying on shoes

He wanted to go for a swim . . . so he crawled over to the step and got in.  Never mind the fact that this silly boy was still in his CLOTHES!

Pretty nails for summertime

Visiting Papa Riggs

Water balloons with Daddy
Poolside snack

Missing something, Mason?

This is our summer in review - lots of play outside, lots of pool time, and unfortunately plenty of time inside because of the unbearable heat.  Thank goodness, since it was an Olympic year we had some fun things to watch.

Next up, first day of school!!!
